Introduction: Sapphire is a superior window material with excellent transparency and thermal properties. It has high transmittance from 1.5um to 6um in the middle infrared. It also exhibits excellent physical and chemical properties. It is chemically inert and insoluble in almost everything and it can be scratched only by few substances (such as diamond or boron nitride) other than itself.
Main Application£ºSubstrate material, IR optics windows, Aerospace, analytical applications, medical applications etc..
